Description
nono is software that allows users to run AI agents in a zero-latency sandbox. Prior to version 0.55.0, the nono Landlock/seccomp policies allow access to local Unix domain sockets (concrete and abstract). This allows an easy sandbox escape by talking to the per-user systemd dbus socket. Version 0.55.0 patches the issue.
A sandbox escape vulnerability has been identified in the nono software, which allows users to run AI agents in a zero-latency environment. Prior to version 0.55.0, the Landlock and seccomp policies of nono permitted access to local Unix domain sockets, both concrete and abstract. This oversight created an easy escape route from the sandbox by communicating with the per-user systemd D-Bus socket. The vulnerability affects the nono command-line interface (CLI) and its bundled sandbox profiles, as the core library does not include policy definitions or confinement profiles by default.
Users can update to nono version 0.55.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
