Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: rc: xbox_remote: heed DMA restrictions The buffer for IO must not be part of the device structure because that violates the DMA coherency rules.
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's handling of the Xbox DVD Movie Playback Kit remote control driver has been addressed. The issue arose because the input/output buffer was part of the device structure, violating Direct Memory Access (DMA) coherency rules. This vulnerability could potentially lead to improper data handling or memory access issues.
Users can upgrade to the latest version of the Linux kernel where this vulnerability has been fixed. The official Linux kernel Git repository can be used to download the patched version.
