Description
A command injection vulnerability in Cribl Edge for Linux versions 3.2.0 through 4.17.0 allows a local unprivileged user to execute arbitrary commands in the context of the Cribl Edge service account.
A critical security vulnerability has been identified in Cribl Edge versions prior to 4.17.1 for both Linux and Windows. This vulnerability requires immediate attention, as it could potentially be exploited to compromise the application's security.
Users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Cribl Edge version 4.17.1. For on-premises deployments, the update will be available on April 22, 2026. Hybrid users should wait until their cloud Leader Node has been upgraded before updating Edge Nodes to avoid unexpected behavior.
