Description
Missing validation of "valuesFrom" references in Helm Deployer of SUSE Rancher Fleet 0.15 before 0.15.2, 0.14 before 0.14.6, 0.13 before 0.13.11 and 0.12 before 0.12.15 could be used by owners of one tenant to access fleet credentials of other tenants.
A vulnerability exists in SUSE Rancher Fleet versions 0.15 prior to 0.15.2, 0.14 prior to 0.14.6, 0.13 prior to 0.13.11, and 0.12 prior to 0.12.15. This issue arises from missing validation of 'valuesFrom' references in the Helm Deployer, allowing tenants to access Fleet credentials of other tenants. In multi-tenancy environments where different tenants share the same downstream clusters, this vulnerability could be exploited to bypass restrictions and access any config map or secret across all namespaces on the downstream cluster. Additionally, it would enable unauthorized deployment of cluster-wide resources using 'HelmOp' or 'Bundle'.
Users are advised to upgrade to SUSE Rancher Fleet versions 0.15.2, 0.14.6, 0.13.11, or 0.12.15. Patched versions include releases 'v0.15.2', 'v0.14.6', '0.13.11', and 'v0.12.15'. If an upgrade is not possible, ensure that tenants do not have shared access to the same downstream clusters.
