Description
A vulnerability in the command line interface of ECOS devices could allow a highly privileged, authenticated remote attacker to perform command injection on certain CLI commands. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system.
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in the command line interface (CLI) of HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways running ECOS versions 9.4.6.x and below, 9.5.6.x and below, and 9.6.1.x and below. This vulnerability allows highly privileged, authenticated remote attackers to inject commands into certain CLI commands, potentially leading to the execution of arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system.
Users are advised to upgrade to HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN ECOS versions 9.4.7.0 and above, 9.5.7.0 and above, 9.6.2.0 and above, or 9.7.0.0 and above. For more details, visit the HPE Networking Support Portal.
