Description
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of an ECOS device could allow a highly privileged, authenticated remote attacker to access the device's filesystem. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an attacker to access sensitive files and tamper with or delete system data.
A vulnerability exists in the web-based management interface of HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways running ECOS versions 9.4.6.x and below, 9.5.6.x and below, and 9.6.1.x and below. This vulnerability allows a highly privileged, authenticated remote attacker to perform a path traversal attack, accessing the device's filesystem. Exploitation could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive files and the ability to tamper with or delete system data.
Users are advised to upgrade to HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN ECOS versions 9.4.7.0 and above, 9.5.7.0 and above, 9.6.2.0 and above, or 9.7.0.0 and above. For more details, visit the HPE Networking Support Portal.
