Description
SAP Commerce Cloud could retain a sample OAuth2 client with publicly documented sample credentials originating from sample configuration provided in SAP Help Portal documentation. If left unchanged, an unauthenticated attacker could use these well-known credentials to obtain a valid access token and invoke certain APIs to read and modify data. Successful exploitation results in high impact on confidentiality and integrity, with no impact on availability.
A vulnerability exists in SAP Commerce Cloud due to the retention of a sample OAuth2 client with publicly available sample credentials. These credentials, derived from the SAP Help Portal's sample configuration, could be exploited by an unauthenticated attacker to obtain a valid access token. With this token, the attacker could invoke certain APIs to read and modify data. This issue affects SAP Commerce Cloud versions that retain the sample OAuth2 client and credentials.
Users are advised to review and update their OAuth2 client configurations to remove any sample credentials. SAP Security Notes can be accessed through the SAP for Me platform, where users can find guidance on implementing security patches.
