Description
Bytello Share (Windows Edition) installer executable provided by Bytello insecurely loads Dynamic Link Libraries. If there is a crafted DLL at the same directory when invoking the affected installer, arbitrary code may be executed with the privilege of the user invoking the installer.
A vulnerability exists in the Bytello Share (Windows Edition) installer prior to version 5.13.0.4246, due to insecure loading of Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs). This flaw allows arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the user running the installer, if a specially crafted DLL is placed in the same directory as the installer executable.
Users are advised to update to the latest version of Bytello Share (Windows Edition), which is available as an MSI installation package.
