CVE-2026-44118 Details
Description
OpenClaw before 2026.4.22 derives loopback MCP owner context from spoofable server-issued bearer tokens in request headers. Non-owner loopback clients can present themselves as owner to bypass owner-gated operations by manipulating the sender-owner header metadata.
A vulnerability in OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.4.22 allows non-owner loopback clients to spoof owner context by manipulating server-issued bearer tokens in request headers. This could bypass owner-gated operations. The issue arises because the application trusted spoofable metadata from request headers, enabling unauthorized clients to present themselves as owners.
Users can update to OpenClaw version 2026.4.22 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
