Description
This issue was addressed with improved handling of symlinks. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6. An app may be able to modify protected parts of the file system.
A vulnerability exists in Apple's macOS versions Sequoia 15.7.8, Sonoma 14.8.8, and Tahoe 26.6, where an application may improperly modify protected areas of the file system. This issue stems from inadequate validation of symlinks, potentially leading to unauthorized changes in critical system files.
