Description
An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6. Mounting a malicious disk image may cause unexpected system termination.
A vulnerability in the AppleRAID component of macOS versions Sequoia 15.7.8, Sonoma 14.8.8, and Tahoe 26.6 allows for an out-of-bounds write, which can be triggered by mounting a malicious disk image. This flaw was addressed with improved bounds checking, but it could have led to unexpected system termination or corruption of kernel memory.
