Description
A buffer overflow was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6. An app may be able to execute arbitrary code out of its sandbox or with certain elevated privileges.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Wi-Fi component of Apple macOS, specifically in the versions included in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, and macOS Tahoe 26.6. This vulnerability allows a malicious application to execute arbitrary code outside of its sandbox or with elevated privileges. The issue has been addressed with improved bounds checking.
