Description
An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in Safari 26.5.2, iOS 18.7.10 and iPadOS 18.7.10, iOS 26.5.2 and iPadOS 26.5.2, macOS Tahoe 26.5.2, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to an unexpected Safari crash.
A vulnerability in WebKit, the engine used by Safari, allows for an out-of-bounds write due to insufficient input validation. This issue can be exploited by processing maliciously crafted web content, which may result in an unexpected crash of the Safari browser. The vulnerability is present in WebKit components available on various Apple devices, including iPhone 11 and later, several iPad models, and macOS Tahoe.
Users can update to Safari 26.5.2, which is available on macOS Tahoe, to address this vulnerability.
