Description
A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in Safari 26.5.2, iOS 26.5.2 and iPadOS 26.5.2, macOS Tahoe 26.5.2, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to an unexpected process crash.
A memory corruption vulnerability has been identified in WebKit, the engine used by Safari and other Apple applications, such as those on iOS and iPadOS. This vulnerability affects Safari 26.5.2, as well as iOS and iPadOS 26.5.2, and macOS Tahoe 26.5.2. The issue arises from a type confusion problem that was addressed with improved memory handling. Exploiting this vulnerability by processing maliciously crafted web content can lead to an unexpected crash of the affected process.
