Description
A path handling issue was addressed with improved validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. An app may be able to gain root privileges.
A vulnerability in the CUPS (Common Unix Printing System) component of Apple macOS Golden Gate 27, Sequoia 15.8, and Tahoe 26.7 allows applications to gain root privileges. This issue arises from a path handling flaw that was addressed with improved validation. The vulnerability could be exploited by manipulating file paths to bypass security restrictions and execute arbitrary code with elevated rights.
