Description
This issue was addressed with additional entitlement checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8. A local attacker may be able to determine the legacy VNC password configured for Screen Sharing.
A vulnerability exists in the Screen Sharing Server component of macOS Sequoia and macOS Sonoma, allowing local attackers to determine the legacy VNC password used for Screen Sharing. This issue arises from insufficient entitlement checks, which could be exploited to access sensitive information.
Users can update to macOS Sequoia 15.7.8 or macOS Sonoma 14.8.8 to address this vulnerability.
