Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/tcp-ao: Fix MAC comparison to be constant-time To prevent timing attacks, MACs need to be compared in constant time. Use the appropriate helper function for this.
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's TCP Authentication Option (TCP-AO) implementation has been addressed. The issue was that Message Authentication Codes (MACs) were not being compared in constant time, which can lead to timing attacks. This vulnerability affects the Linux kernel stable tree.
Users can upgrade to the latest version of the Linux kernel stable tree, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
