CVE-2026-42434 Details
Description
OpenClaw versions 2026.4.5 before 2026.4.10 contain a sandbox escape vulnerability allowing sandboxed agents to override exec routing by specifying host=node. Attackers can bypass sandbox boundaries and route execution to remote nodes instead of intended sandbox paths.
A sandbox escape vulnerability has been identified in OpenClaw versions 2026.4.5 prior to 2026.4.10. This vulnerability allows sandboxed agents to bypass execution routing restrictions by specifying 'host=node', enabling them to route execution to remote nodes instead of the intended sandbox paths. The issue arises from the application's handling of execution host parameters, which can be manipulated to escape sandbox boundaries.
Users are advised to upgrade to OpenClaw version 2026.4.10 or later. The latest npm release, 2026.4.14, includes the fix.
