Description
This fix provides extra hardening for the 5.4.x branch by doing extra validation of incoming answers from authoritative servers.
A vulnerability exists in PowerDNS Recursor versions in the 5.4.x branch, where insufficient validation of incoming responses from authoritative servers could lead to potential security issues. This vulnerability has been addressed by implementing additional validation measures to enhance the robustness of the recursor against malformed or malicious responses.
