CVE-2026-41915 Details
Description
OpenClaw before 2026.4.8 fails to remove git plumbing environment variables from the execution environment before host exec operations. Attackers can exploit this by setting GIT_DIR and related variables to redirect git operations and compromise repository integrity.
A vulnerability exists in OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.4.8, where git plumbing environment variables are not properly sanitized before executing host operations. This oversight allows attackers to manipulate git operations by setting variables like GIT_DIR, potentially compromising the integrity of git repositories.
Users can upgrade to OpenClaw version 2026.4.8 or later to address this vulnerability.
