Description
R-SOFT DMS stores superadmin credentials using a non-salted nested MD5 hash. This allows an attacker who obtain password hash to decode superadmin credentials. Critically, this password cannot be changed except by modifying the configuration file. This issue was fixed in version v3.17-2000.
A vulnerability exists in R-SOFT DMS due to the storage of superadmin credentials using a non-salted nested MD5 hash. This hashing method allows an attacker who obtains the password hash to decode the superadmin credentials. Furthermore, the password cannot be changed except by manually editing the configuration file. This vulnerability affects all versions of R-SOFT DMS prior to v3.17-2000.
Users can upgrade to R-SOFT DMS version v3.17-2000 or later to address this vulnerability.
