Description
Dell Dell Container Storage Modules, version(s) csi-powerstore v2.16.0, csi-unity v2.16.0, csi-powerflex v2.16.0, csi-powermax v2.16.0, contain(s) an Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') vulnerability. A high privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Command execution.
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in Dell Container Storage Modules, specifically in the CSI drivers for PowerStore, Unity XT, PowerFlex, and PowerMax, all version 2.16.0. This vulnerability arises from improper neutralization of special elements used in operating system commands, allowing a high-privileged attacker with remote access to execute arbitrary commands on the system.
Users can upgrade to version 2.17.0 or later for the CSI drivers of PowerStore, Unity XT, PowerFlex, and PowerMax. For the CSI driver of PowerFlex, version 1.15.2 and later is recommended.
