Description
The use of insecure HTTP transport within AMD optional tools could allow an attacker to conduct a man-in-the-middle attack, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution.
A vulnerability exists in certain AMD optional tools due to the use of insecure HTTP transport without digital signature verification. This flaw could enable a remote attacker to perform a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack, potentially introducing a malicious executable that could be executed with elevated privileges.
Users are advised to update to the latest versions of the affected tools. For AMD Management Console, update to version 14.0.0; for AMD Ryzen Master, update to version 2.14.3; and for AMD µProf, update to version 5.3.
