CVE-2026-39345 Details
Description
OrangeHRM is a comprehensive human resource management (HRM) system. From 5.0 to 5.8, OrangeHRM Open Source fails to restrict email template file resolution to the intended plugins directory, allowing an authenticated actor who can influence the template path to read arbitrary local files. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.8.1.
A path traversal vulnerability allowing arbitrary file read has been identified in OrangeHRM Open Source versions 5.0 prior to 5.8.1. The issue arises because the email template file resolution is not properly restricted to the designated plugins directory. This flaw enables an authenticated user who can manipulate the template path to access arbitrary local files.
Users can upgrade to OrangeHRM Open Source version 5.8.1 or later to address this vulnerability.
