CVE-2026-39253 Details
Description
An issue in Pivotal CRM v.6.6.04.08 allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via the Pivotal.Core.Common.dll and Pivotal.Engine.Client.Services.Conversion.dll components.
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in Pivotal CRM version 6.6.04.08 due to insecure deserialization in the Pivotal.Core.Common.dll and Pivotal.Engine.Client.Services.Conversion.dll components. The vulnerability arises from the use of the .NET BinaryFormatter for serialization and deserialization of request/response payloads, which can be exploited by an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Users are advised to upgrade to Pivotal CRM version 6.6.5.10, which includes a complete fix for the vulnerability. For environments that cannot upgrade immediately, a standalone patch is available. Instructions for applying the patch can be found in the Pivotal Support article 'Remediating Insecure Deserialization (CWE-502) in Pivotal 6.6.04.08 Smart Client PBS'.
