CVE-2026-38969 Details
Description
Rejected reason: DO NOT USE THIS CVE RECORD. ConsultIDs: none. Reason: This record was withdrawn by its CNA. Further investigation showed that it was not a security issue. Notes: none.
A vulnerability in Ruby WEBrick versions through 1.9.2 allows request smuggling by reprocessing trailer 'Content-Length' values into canonical request metadata. This issue arises because WEBrick accepts 'Content-Length' from chunked request trailers and exposes it as authoritative request length data to the application. As a result, an attacker can manipulate trailer data to deceive the application about the actual size of the request body, leading to potential security risks.
Users can update to the latest version of Ruby WEBrick, where this vulnerability has been addressed.
