Description
Command injection in Raynet rvia version 12.6 Update 8 and previous versions allows adversaries to execute arbitrary code via a crafted path that matches the improperly terminated search criteria of rvia's Java search using the find command.
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in Raynet RayVentory Scan Engine versions 12.6 Update 8 and prior. This vulnerability allows adversaries to execute arbitrary code by crafting a path that exploits improperly terminated search criteria in the application's Java detection process. The issue arises when the 'oracle' option is invoked, as the application executes a 'find' command to locate Java installations. Attackers can manipulate directory structures to trigger the execution of malicious binaries during this process.
