Description
An issue in the pthread_rwlockattr_setpshared() function of relibc commit 61f42d allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in the relibc library, specifically in the pthread_rwlockattr_setpshared() function of commit 61f42d. This issue allows attackers to cause a program to panic by passing an invalid pshared value, such as a value other than Private or Shared. The vulnerability is local, requiring the attacker to execute a program that sends the crafted input to the affected function.
Users can update to the latest version of relibc, where this vulnerability has been addressed.
