Description
Insecure Permissions vulnerability in MSI NBFoundation Service v.2.0.2506.1201 allows a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information via the MSI_SERVICE_2 pipe
A vulnerability in MSI NBFoundation Service version 2.0.2506.1201 has been identified, allowing remote attackers to access sensitive information through the MSI_SERVICE_2 named pipe. This vulnerability arises from insecure permissions that grant all authenticated users the ability to read from and write to the pipe, which is exposed by the MSIAPService.exe component running as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.
Users are advised to upgrade MSI Center to version 2.0.70.0 or later. The update can be obtained through the official MSI update channel.
