Description
Shenzhen Tenda Technology Co., Ltd Tenda O3 Wireless Router v1.0.0.5(4180) was discovered to contain a stack overflow in the username parameter of the R7WebsSecurityHandler function. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted HTTP request.
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Tenda O3 Wireless Router, specifically in version 1.0.0.5(4180). The issue arises in the R7WebsSecurityHandler function, where user-controlled input in the username parameter is not properly validated or sanitized. This vulnerability can be exploited by sending a crafted HTTP request, causing a denial-of-service condition by crashing or rebooting the device. Additionally, this type of stack overflow could potentially be leveraged for arbitrary code execution.
