Description
Shenzhen Tenda Technology Co., Ltd Tenda W3 Wireless Router v1.0.0.3(2204) was discovered to contain a stack overflow in the param_1 parameter of the formSetCfm function. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted HTTP request.
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Tenda W3 Wireless Router, specifically in version 1.0.0.3(2204). The issue arises in the formSetCfm function, where user-controlled parameters are not properly validated before being passed to a sprintf call. This vulnerability can be exploited by sending a crafted HTTP request to the formSetCfm CGI endpoint, causing a denial-of-service condition by crashing or rebooting the device. Additionally, this vulnerability could potentially be exploited for arbitrary code execution.
