CVE-2026-36772 Details
Description
Shenzhen Tenda Technology Co., Ltd Tenda W3 Wireless Router v1.0.0.3(2204) was discovered to contain a stack overflow in the wl_radio parameter of the formwrlSSIDget function. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Tenda W3 Wireless Router, specifically in version 1.0.0.3(2204). The issue arises within the 'formwrlSSIDget' CGI handler, where user-controlled parameters 'wl_radio' and 'index' are processed without proper length validation. This oversight allows attackers to craft inputs that overflow the stack buffer, leading to a denial-of-service condition by crashing or rebooting the device. Additionally, this vulnerability could potentially be exploited for arbitrary code execution.
