CVE-2026-36726 Details
Description
An arbitrary file deletion vulnerability in the /api/delete-temp-license/{file} endpoint of bookcars v8.3 allows unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files via supplying directory traversal sequences.
A vulnerability allowing arbitrary file deletion exists in BookCars versions through 8.3, specifically within the '/api/delete-temp-license/{file}' endpoint. This issue arises because the 'file' path parameter is integrated into the target filesystem path without adequate validation or canonicalization. Consequently, unauthenticated attackers can exploit this flaw by injecting directory traversal sequences to delete arbitrary files from the server's filesystem.
