CVE-2026-34790 Details
Description
Endian Firewall version 3.3.25 and prior allow authenticated users to delete arbitrary files via directory traversal in the remove ARCHIVE parameter to /cgi-bin/backup.cgi. The remove ARCHIVE parameter value is used to construct a file path without sanitization of directory traversal sequences, which is then passed to an unlink() call.
A directory traversal vulnerability has been identified in Endian Firewall versions through 3.3.25. This issue allows authenticated users to delete arbitrary files by exploiting the remove ARCHIVE parameter in the /cgi-bin/backup.cgi script. The vulnerability arises because the parameter value is used to create a file path without proper sanitization of directory traversal sequences, which is then passed to an unlink() function call, enabling unauthorized file deletion.
