Description
Fleet is open source device management software. Prior to 4.81.1, a vulnerability in Fleet's Windows MDM command processing allows a malicious enrolled device to access MDM commands intended for other devices, potentially exposing sensitive configuration data such as WiFi credentials, VPN secrets, and certificate payloads across the entire Windows fleet. Version 4.81.1 patches the issue.
A vulnerability exists in Fleet's Windows Mobile Device Management (MDM) command processing, allowing a malicious enrolled device to intercept MDM commands meant for other devices. This flaw could lead to the exposure of sensitive configuration data, such as WiFi credentials, VPN secrets, and certificate payloads, across the entire Windows fleet. The vulnerability is present in Fleet versions prior to 4.81.1.
Users can upgrade to Fleet version 4.81.1 or later to address this vulnerability. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, Windows MDM can be temporarily disabled.
