Description
Null pointer dereference in Windows Storport Miniport Driver allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network.
A null pointer dereference vulnerability has been identified in the Windows Storport Miniport Driver. This issue allows an unauthorized attacker to cause a denial-of-service condition over the network. The vulnerability arises because the driver does not properly handle null pointers, leading to a crash or unresponsive state that can be exploited remotely.
Users can apply the security update KB5087539 or KB5087423 (for Hotpatch) to address this vulnerability. These updates are available through the Microsoft Update Catalog.
