Description
An attacker can send replies that result in a null pointer dereference, caused by a missing consistency check and leading to a denial of service. Cookies are disabled by default.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in PowerDNS Recursor. This issue arises from a null pointer dereference, which an attacker can trigger by sending specially crafted replies. The vulnerability is caused by a missing consistency check, allowing the attack to disrupt normal service. By default, cookies are disabled in PowerDNS Recursor.
