Description Improper authorization checks of team members privileges allow a team member to escalate privileges to the team owner account.
A privilege escalation vulnerability has been identified in cPanel & WHM versions 110 and higher. This issue arises from improper authorization checks regarding team member privileges, which allow a low-privilege team user to escalate rights to that of a team owner. The vulnerability can be exploited through certain UAPI modules.
Users can update to cPanel & WHM versions 11.110.0.118, 11.110.0.119 and higher, 11.118.0.67 and higher, 11.124.0.38 and higher, 11.126.0.59 and higher, 11.130.0.23 and higher, 11.132.0.32 and higher, or 11.134.0.26 and higher. For those on CentOS 6 or CloudLinux 6, it is recommended to set the upgrade tier to 'cl6110' before updating.
