Description
An OS command injection vulnerability exists in XWEB Pro version 1.12.1 and prior, enabling an authenticated attacker to achieve remote code execution on the system by modifying malicious input injected into the MBird SMS service URL and/or code via the utility route which is later processed during system setup, leading to remote code execution.
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in Copeland XWEB Pro versions through 1.12.1. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code on the system. Exploitation involves injecting malicious input into the MBird SMS service URL or code via the utility route, which is processed during system setup.
Copeland has released a patch for this vulnerability. Users are advised to update XWEB Pro to the latest version available on the Copeland XWEB Pro System Software Update page. Alternatively, users can update directly from Copeland servers via the XWEB Pro menu SYSTEM -- Updates | Network.
