CVE-2026-28675 Details
Description
OpenSift is an AI study tool that sifts through large datasets using semantic search and generative AI. Prior to version 1.6.3-alpha, some endpoints returned raw exception strings to clients. Additionally, login token material was exposed in UI/rendered responses and token rotation output. This issue has been patched in version 1.6.3-alpha.
A vulnerability in OpenSift prior to version 1.6.3-alpha allows some endpoints to return raw exception messages to clients. This version also exposed login token information in user interface responses and through token rotation outputs. The issue has been addressed in version 1.6.3-alpha.
Users can update to OpenSift version 1.6.3-alpha, which addresses the vulnerability by sanitizing error responses and modifying the token rotation process to only return a token hint. Additionally, settings and authentication endpoints can be restricted to trusted administrators.
