Description
In MmsSmsProvider of MmsSmsProvider.java, there is a possible way to retrieve sensitive information due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A vulnerability in the MmsSmsProvider component of Android's messaging system allows for unauthorized access to sensitive information. This issue arises from a lack of proper permission checks, which could lead to local information disclosure. The vulnerability does not require any additional execution privileges or user interaction to be exploited.
Users can update their devices to Android 17 with a security patch level of 2026-07-01 or later to address this vulnerability.
