Description
SolarWinds Serv-U is affected by an insecure direct object reference (IDOR) vulnerability that can lead to SMTP hijacking leading to arbitrary account takeover. The impact is lower in Windows deployments.
An insecure direct object reference (IDOR) vulnerability has been identified in SolarWinds Serv-U, which can result in SMTP hijacking and arbitrary account takeover. This vulnerability is present in multiple versions of Serv-U, with the exception of the latest release, 2026.3. The impact of this vulnerability is lower in Windows deployments.
Users can upgrade to SolarWinds Serv-U version 2026.3, which addresses this vulnerability. Instructions for downloading and installing the latest version are available on the SolarWinds website and through the Customer Portal.
