Description
Unrestricted resource allocation in AMD uProf may be exploitable to consume excessive system resources, potentially leading to a loss of availability.
A vulnerability in AMD uProf performance analysis tool can be exploited by local attackers with user privileges to consume excessive system resources. This unrestricted resource allocation may lead to resource exhaustion and uncontrolled memory consumption, causing a denial-of-service condition.
Users are advised to update to AMD uProf version 5.3 or higher.
