CVE-2026-28201 Details
Description
An improper input validation, together with an overly permissive default CORS configuration in Open Notebook v1.8.1 allows remote attacker to trick a legitimate user to alter or delete arbitrary database entries via specially crafted malicious URL. Depending on the deployment, data exfiltration is also possible.
A vulnerability in Open Notebook version 1.8.1 and prior has been identified, stemming from improper input validation and a default Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) configuration that is too permissive. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to manipulate or delete arbitrary database entries by tricking users into clicking on specially crafted URLs.
