Description
Improper Control of Filename for Include/Require Statement in PHP Program ('PHP Remote File Inclusion') vulnerability in magentech Victo victo allows PHP Local File Inclusion.This issue affects Victo: from n/a through <= 1.4.16.
A local file inclusion vulnerability has been identified in the WordPress Victo theme, specifically in versions through 1.4.16. This vulnerability arises from improper control of filenames in include or require statements, allowing for PHP remote file inclusion. Exploitation of this issue could enable a malicious actor to include local files from the target website and display their contents, potentially leading to a complete database takeover if sensitive information, such as database credentials, is accessed.
Users are advised to update to a version of the WordPress Victo theme later than 1.4.16. For those using Patchstack, a mitigation rule has been issued to block attacks targeting this vulnerability until an official patch can be safely applied.
