Description
Antrea is a Kubernetes networking solution intended to be Kubernetes native. Prior to versions 2.3.2 and 2.4.3, Antrea's network policy priority assignment system has a uint16 arithmetic overflow bug that causes incorrect OpenFlow priority calculations when handling a large numbers of policies with various priority values. This results in potentially incorrect traffic enforcement. This issue has been patched in versions 2.4.3.
A uint16 arithmetic overflow vulnerability has been identified in Antrea's network policy priority assignment system, affecting versions prior to 2.3.2 and 2.4.0 through 2.4.3. This overflow leads to incorrect OpenFlow priority calculations, particularly when managing a large number of policies with varying priority values. As a result, traffic enforcement may be improperly applied, allowing access to sensitive services or disrupting applications by denying expected traffic. The issue also enables users to override rules in higher priority Tiers, bypassing authorization restrictions.
Users can upgrade to Antrea versions 2.3.2, 2.4.3, or 2.5.0 to address this vulnerability.
