CVE-2026-2416 Details
Description
The Geo Mashup plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'sort' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.13.17. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the Geo Mashup plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.13.17. The issue arises from inadequate escaping of user-supplied data in the 'sort' parameter, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject additional SQL queries. This exploitation could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive database information.
Users are advised to update the Geo Mashup plugin to version 1.13.18 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
