Description
HackerOne community member Faraz Ahmed (PakCyberbot) has reported a format string injection in the Revive Adserver settings. When specific character combinations are used in a setting, the admin user console could be disabled due to a fatal PHP error.
A format string injection vulnerability has been identified in Revive Adserver version 6.0.4. This issue arises in the application settings, where certain character combinations can be used to disrupt the admin user console by causing a fatal PHP error. The vulnerability is rooted in inadequate escaping within the INI file writing classes of the PEAR_Config package, which manages the settings stored in INI format. Only administrators can modify these settings, so the impact is generally limited to the admin user.
