Description
Improper neutralization of input during web page generation ('cross-site scripting') in Azure HDInsights allows an authorized attacker to perform spoofing over a network.
A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Microsoft Azure HDInsight. This issue arises from improper input neutralization during web page generation, allowing an authorized attacker to perform spoofing over the network. The vulnerability affects Azure HDInsight versions 5.1.
To address this vulnerability, users are advised to restart the Ambari server on both head nodes. Additionally, a security update is available, which can be downloaded as a patch script or as a tar.gz file containing the necessary files.
