Description
Improper neutralization of special elements used in a command ('command injection') in Azure Compute Gallery allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in Microsoft Azure Compute Gallery, specifically within the ACI Confidential Containers context. This vulnerability allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally by executing arbitrary commands with the same rights as the compromised container. In scenarios involving confidential containers, this exploitation could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive secrets or data protected by the attested environment.
Users are advised to apply the security update available through the Microsoft Azure CLI Extensions repository.
